Description
The City of Arlington is soliciting sealed bids for the 2027 Concrete Panel & Sidewalk Replacement Program, Project No. PWSM27001. The work includes removal and replacement of reinforced concrete pavement panels, concrete sidewalks, ADA-compliant barrier-free ramps, curb and gutter, valley gutters, residential and commercial drive approaches, retaining walls, pavement transitions, pavement markings, raised pavement markers, sodding, drainage-related improvements, and associated traffic control and restoration. The project includes estimated quantities across multiple Arlington streets and is a requirements contract; the City may add, reduce, cancel, or postpone work, and the award does not guarantee a minimum quantity. Bidders must be prequalified by the City of Arlington for the applicable concrete and related work categories before bid opening, and the prime contractor must self-perform the primary concrete panel, miscellaneous concrete, and sidewalk work. The engineer's estimate is $4,682,950.00. The contract term is 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with a $1,000-per-calendar-day liquidated-damages provision for late completion. Prevailing wages, a five-percent bid security, 100-percent performance, payment, and maintenance bonds, and specified commercial, automobile, pollution, umbrella, workers' compensation, and employer's liability insurance are required.
