Description
Monroe County School District is seeking a qualified insurance agent or broker to assist with all aspects of its property and casualty insurance program. Services include identifying exposures and coverage needs; advising on insurance options; marketing coverage to carriers; negotiating terms and premiums; reviewing policies, endorsements, deductibles, limits, and exclusions; obtaining binders and evidence of coverage; processing certificates of insurance; assisting with significant or complex claims; and providing ongoing risk management consultation. The District's program includes property, equipment breakdown, crime, workers' compensation, general and automobile liability, school leaders errors and omissions, employment practices, law enforcement, sexual abuse, environmental, fiduciary, student accident, flood, named windstorm, workplace violence, and related coverages. The selected broker must support annual renewals, transition services, and preparation for the March 1, 2027 renewal. Proposers must demonstrate Florida licensing, at least five years of experience placing multilayered property programs in Florida, experience with Florida governmental entities and coastal exposures, and experience with at least one account exceeding $500 million in total insured values. The proposal must address staffing, qualifications, references, carrier markets, and transparent compensation.
