Description
Lafayette Consolidated Government is soliciting bids for the Homewood Pipeline Removal project. The work includes coordinating with utility owners; exposing, safely removing, and legally disposing of abandoned or out-of-service pipelines and associated appurtenances; excavation, shoring, dewatering, traffic control, and compliance with applicable specifications and safety requirements. The contractor must also perform backfilling, compaction, surface and site restoration, erosion and sediment control, and submit required documentation. Work must be completed within 75 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Contractors bidding $50,000 or more must hold a Louisiana Heavy Construction license. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check equal to 5% of the base bid plus additive alternates is required; the successful bidder must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds for the full contract amount.
