PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Advertisement for Bids Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System Purchasing Department at 202 Rue Iberville, Lafayette, LA 70508, or electronically at https://www.beaconbid.com/solicitations/lafayette-parish-school-system until 10:00 a.m. CST on September 14, 2026. Bids received after this date and time will not be considered. Delivery to any department other than the Purchasing Department may result in non-consideration. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the LPSS Purchasing Department Conference Room for the following: Prepackaged School Supply Kits Bid# 10-27 Sealed bids shall be clearly marked: Prepackaged School Supply Kits Bid# 10-27 Bid Opening: September 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST Addenda, if any, will be posted at https://www.beaconbid.com/solicitations/lafayette-parish-school-system. It shall be the responsibility of all prospective bidders to check this website for any addenda issued before the bid opening. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of the bid documents. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for opening of bids. The Lafayette Parish School System reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received when such is in the best interest of the School System. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2251, a preference of up to ten percent (10%) may be granted to products manufactured, produced, grown, or assembled in Louisiana when such products meet or exceed the specifications of this bid. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds. The Lafayette Parish School System strongly encourages the participation of minority-owned and small business enterprises. Description
The Lafayette Parish School System is soliciting sealed bids for estimated annual requirements of prepackaged school supply kits. The bid covers approximately 200 kindergarten kits, 300 kits for grades 1-5, and 500 kits for grades 6-12. Kits contain specified combinations of writing instruments, paper products, notebooks, folders, binders, art supplies, headphones or earbuds, and related school materials. All kits must be prepacked and labeled in the smallest possible stackable corrugated box with a carrying handle. Products must be new, unused, current-production models with standard manufacturer warranties. Bidders must provide unit pricing, include delivery costs on an F.O.B. destination basis, submit the official bid form and debarment certification, and provide one sample of the grade 1-5 prepackaged kit. Catalog cuts or descriptive literature are required for proposed equivalent products. Deliveries may be required to individual school sites or the district warehouse. Addendum No. 1 clarifies that the kindergarten kit requires two plastic folders with brads and pockets, in any listed color, while all other supply kits require six such folders, one of each color listed on the Bid Form; it also addresses headphones and earbuds on the bid forms. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
