Description
The County of San Luis Obispo is soliciting proposals for acquisition, implementation, configuration, migration, testing, training, documentation, and support for a next-generation firewall platform. The solution must support high availability, synchronized failover, at least 10 Gbps throughput at the primary site, physical and virtual deployments across the County’s 18-site footprint, Azure deployment, VPN and remote-access functionality, network segmentation, identity-based policy, intrusion prevention, application and URL filtering, SSL/TLS inspection, and secure partner connectivity. The selected vendor must provide requirements discovery, resilient architecture and detailed design, migration of existing rules, NAT, VPNs, policies, and objects, phased cutover with tested rollback procedures, safeguards for Public Safety and other mission-critical services, as-built documentation, operating procedures, backup and recovery guidance, remote administrator training with hands-on labs, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support. The proposal package includes a technical proposal, local vendor preference form, required risk assessment questionnaire, Appendix F Requirements Response Form, and proposer checklist. The County requests a 30-page proposal limit excluding specified materials and requires a single PDF submission.
