ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Harvard Community Unit School District 50 2026 HVAC Replacement Project at Multiple Schools Bids are invited from Qualified HVAC Contractors or General Contractors. Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing ductless split-system air-conditioning equipment serving MDF rooms at The District's Administration Office, Harvard High School, Jefferson Elementary School, and Crosby Elementary School. The work includes the installation of new outdoor equipment and wall-mounted indoor units; the installation and connection of refrigerant piping, electrical power, controls, and condensate systems; and the complete system startup and commissioning. The Contractor shall provide all mechanical, electrical, architectural, and restoration work required for a complete installation, including roof curbs or equipment supports, roof and wall penetrations, roof patching, a concrete equipment pad where the unit is located at grade, and firestopping. Refer to the Project Drawings and Project Specifications for the full Scope of Work. Work is to be awarded as a single contract. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers and workmen performing work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Sealed Bids, submitted in duplicate, for the Contract shall be received on or before, but not later than 2:00 PM, October 7, 2026, and addressed to the attention of: Ms. Melissa Geyman Sell Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Harvard Community Unit School District 50 401 N Division St. Harvard, IL 60033 Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time, in a location to be designated at the District Office. Bidders are invited to be present at the bid opening. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. Everyone shall meet at the Administration Building, located at 401 N Division St., Harvard, IL 60033, at the main entrance.
