Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting prequalified general contractors and prime mechanical contractors for replacement of 8-inch thermal hot-water piping. The scope includes traffic control, excavation, demolition, mechanical piping replacement, thermal insulation, backfill, sidewalk and paving work, striping, and landscaping. General contractors and prime mechanical contractors must prequalify before bidding or performing the work, unless already listed on the university's applicable General Contractor Prequalification Master List. The proposed budget is $425,000. Bid security is required as provided in the Instructions to Bidders, and bidders must meet Alabama licensing requirements and display their current license number on the sealed bid envelope.
