Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified contractors for a Design-Build to Budget project to design and construct an approximately 22,845-square-foot Operations Division office building along the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The project includes all labor, equipment, materials, site work, utilities, environmental remediation, and ancillary requirements, as well as visitors' parking, secured vehicle parking, perimeter fencing, and a gated entry. The anticipated acquisition is a firm-fixed-price, best-value tradeoff contract with a maximum allowable construction cost between $24 million and $26 million. The contractor must provide the full design and construction in compliance with applicable Department of Defense, federal, and Alabama codes and licensing requirements. Interested firms must submit a capability response describing relevant design-build experience, design resources, bonding capability or approved alternatives, and up to five comparable projects completed or at least 50% complete within the past five years. Responses are limited to 10 pages and are not proposals; no award will result from this presolicitation notice.
