Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting sealed bids for construction improvements at 431 Reed Street. The scope includes demolition of an existing structure, basement excavation and backfill, site grading, lighting, security, and miscellaneous site improvements. General Contractors and Prime Demolition Contractors must prequalify before submitting bids or performing work, unless already listed on the university's General Contractor Prequalification Master List. Prequalification submissions must be entered through the UA Prequalification platform using a link provided by the project manager. A mandatory pre-bid conference for General Contractors will be held at the Procurement Services Annex and will continue at the job site. Sealed bid proposals are due at 2:00 PM local time on September 24, 2026. The proposed budget is $110,000. Bidders must meet Alabama licensing requirements and display their current license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
