Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified general contractors to furnish and install up to five covered structures that charge and house electronic devices such as scooters and e-bikes across campus. The project has a proposed budget of $800,000 and requires bid security, compliance with Alabama contractor licensing requirements, and display of the current license number on the sealed bid envelope. General contractors must prequalify before bidding or performing work unless already listed on the University's prequalification master list. Prequalification submissions or written waiver requests are due by September 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM local time. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held October 13, 2026, and sealed bids will be opened October 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time.
