Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified general contractors for construction of a new plaza and statue base. The scope includes hardscape, landscaping, and site lighting. General contractors must be prequalified before submitting a bid or performing work; contractors already on the university’s Prequalification Master List are exempt. A waiver may be requested based on prior prequalification or successful performance on University of Alabama projects. The proposed project budget is $400,000. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for examination and printing beginning September 1, 2026. Bidders must meet Alabama contractor licensing requirements and display their current license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
