The University of Alabama is soliciting prequalification applications from general contractors for the Micromobility Park and Charge project at multiple locations, project number TRN-26-4273. General contractors already listed on the university's Prequalification Master List are exempt; other general contractors must prequalify before submitting bids or working on the project. Designated subcontractor trades may also be required to prequalify or request a waiver. Applicants must request a prequalification packet from the project manager and submit it through the university's prequalification platform. Contractors may instead request a written waiver if they have previously been prequalified for, or have a successful track record on, similar University of Alabama projects. Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available for examination and printing beginning October 13, 2026. Bidders must comply with Alabama contractor licensing requirements and display a current license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
