Description
The City of Calexico Public Works Department is soliciting statements of interest and qualifications from professional engineering firms for the Runway 8-26 Reseal Rehabilitation Project at Calexico International Airport. The project involves rehabilitating the asphalt pavement of the 4,679-foot runway, seven connecting taxiways, the entrance taxiway, run-up area, and north apron. The selected consultant will provide preliminary design, environmental studies if needed, field data collection, design engineering reports, coordination and funding support, plans, specifications, cost estimates, bidding documents, responses to bidder questions, addenda, and presentations during design. The consultant must be qualified to work on federally funded airport improvement projects, and all work must be directed by a California-licensed engineer, architect, or land surveyor. Selection is qualifications-based; fee information must be submitted separately in a sealed envelope and will not be considered during technical review. Compensation will be negotiated with the selected consultant under a not-to-exceed structure.
