Description
Wellesley Public Schools is soliciting proposals for industrial warewashing services for Bates and Fiske Elementary Schools. The awarded contractor must provide daily pickup of district-owned reusable cafeteria trays and hinged transportation containers, wash and sanitize them, and return them to the schools on each scheduled meal-service day. The scope includes approximately 350 trays and six hinged containers per service day, with pickup and delivery between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., food-safe separation of clean and soiled items, tray tracking, sanitation records, and compliance with applicable food-safety standards. Proposers must demonstrate a minimum capacity of 350 trays per day; provide an operational flow document, quality-control and contingency procedures, facility audit and health-license documentation, HACCP/GMP compliance, chemical and MSDS information, sanitation documentation, and evidence of relevant school-district experience. The proposal package includes separate price and non-price proposals, with the price proposal based on unit pricing for trays and hinged containers. The initial term runs from November 2, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with two possible one-year extensions through June 30, 2029. Onsite launch support, periodic contract-review meetings, and compliance with CORI requirements for personnel entering school buildings are also required.
