Description
The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals for unarmed, uniformed security officers and vehicles to patrol designated parks and trails from January 1 through December 31, 2027. Required coverage includes daytime and evening patrols of parks and the B-Line Trail, additional late-night coverage during park closures, and evening patrols of Switchyard Park. Officers must also lock specified restroom facilities during evening patrols. The contractor must provide marked uniforms, patrol vehicles suitable for roads and trails, trained and properly licensed personnel, regular location check-ins, incident and damage reporting, supervisor contact coverage, and enforcement of park rules. Proposals must include a vendor introductory letter, qualifications and experience, vehicle and patrol-reporting information, hourly pricing, two recent professional references, and identification of similar municipal or government contracts. The City will evaluate cost, experience, vehicles, checkpoint and incident-reporting systems, and references.
