Description
This Sources Sought notice requests capability information for a geotechnical investigation to characterize soil and foundation conditions for slope-stability analysis of an existing dike. The anticipated field scope includes 11 cone penetration test soundings, each to 50 feet or refusal beyond 20 feet, at locations on the dike crest, interior, and waterside toe. The equipment must operate in wet, soft, or dry conditions and collect cone resistance, sleeve friction, and porewater-pressure data. The site is accessible only by water, so firms must arrange marine transportation for personnel, equipment, and materials, and vessels must comply with applicable U.S. Coast Guard requirements. Responses should demonstrate relevant experience, past performance, key personnel, firm capabilities, equipment capability, and any proposed teaming arrangement. Firms are asked to provide details for two comparable projects completed within the past seven years, including project values, completion dates, roles, and validation references. Narratives are limited to 30 pages. This is market research only, not a solicitation or request for proposals.
