Description
The City of Laguna Beach is soliciting a contractor for Phase II rehabilitation of the existing Old Top of the World Lift Station. The work includes civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, controls, demolition, equipment installation, concrete lid and access-hatch modifications, decorative screening fencing, protective coatings, generator-vault soundproofing, ventilation improvements, natural-gas piping, a new standby generator, sump-pump work, and a submersible pump delivered to the City’s corporation yard. The contractor must maintain uninterrupted lift-station and sewer service during construction, preserve emergency vehicle access on Sommet du Monde, coordinate with Southern California Edison, SoCalGas, the City’s controls integrator, and other utilities, and provide startup, testing, training, operation and maintenance data, warranties, and record documents. The solicitation requires a Class A General Engineering Contractor license, a 10 percent bid guarantee, 100 percent performance and payment bonds after award, prevailing-wage compliance, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and California Air Resources Board fleet compliance documentation.
