Description
Orange County Public Works is soliciting electronic bids from contractors pre-qualified through a two-step process to provide general contracting services under an indefinite-quantity job order contract. Work may include repairs, renovations, in-kind replacements, maintenance, alterations, emergency work, and other construction tasks at County-owned, operated, or maintained facilities. Individual job orders will be priced using the Construction Task Catalog and the bidder’s adjustment factors for normal and other-than-normal working hours. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, utilities, vehicles, transportation, supervision, documentation, permits, and related services. A California Class B contractor’s license and current public-works registration are required. The contractor must self-perform at least 20% of work under the A and B license classifications. The solicitation requires a bid bond or other bid security, and the successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, safety programs, and required certifications and forms. Only pre-qualified bidders may submit responses, and bids must be submitted electronically through the County’s online bidding system.
