Description
The Forest Service is seeking a contractor for commercial inspection and maintenance of mooring buoys, chains, and anchors serving the Sitka Ranger District. Work includes underwater chain and ring inspections; chain replacement and modification; zinc anode replacement; anchor inspection, replacement, modification, and repositioning; buoy maintenance; and replacement of one heavy-duty Alaska mooring buoy. Optional work includes additional buoy and anchor replacements and an anchor modification at Fred's Creek. The contractor must provide diving personnel, vessels, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, underwater video, photographs, written inspection reports, dive operations plans, and related safety documentation. The work involves multiple buoy locations around Baranof and Chichagof Islands within 60 boating miles of Sitka, Alaska, and must comply with Forest Service contract-diving requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The base period of performance is from award through September 30, 2027, with a possible six-month extension option.
