Description
Santa Monica Community College District is soliciting a turnkey replacement of the existing ground-mounted HP-2 packaged heat pump serving Room 107 at the Broad Stage Performing Arts Center. The work includes demolition and legal disposal of the existing unit; furnishing and installing a Carrier 50FEQM14A2A6-0A0A0 unit or approved equal; replacement of the economizer and power exhaust assemblies; ductwork reconstruction, transitions, supports, insulation, and cleaning; electrical reconnections; condensate, vibration isolation, seismic anchorage, and weatherproofing; and all required permits, testing, startup, balancing, commissioning, and incidentals. The basis-of-design unit is a 12.5-ton, 460V/3-phase/60Hz, R-454B heat pump with approximately 5,000 CFM airflow. The contractor must integrate the replacement equipment with the existing building automation system, including monitoring, control, scheduling, alarms, trending, reporting, programming, point mapping, graphics updates, and commissioning. The scope also includes as-built documentation, operation and maintenance materials, warranty documentation, startup and commissioning reports, a TAB report, controls verification, and at least two hours of onsite owner training. This is a prevailing-wage public works project requiring California contractor licensing, California DIR registration, certified payroll compliance, a mandatory job walk, a 10% bid bond, and 100% payment and performance bonds.
