Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and supervision for recurring maintenance of seven grease traps and six sewage lift stations at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center. Work includes pumping and removing water, grease, garbage, sewage, and accumulated matter; pressure-cleaning traps and lift stations; exposing all sides and bottoms; hauling waste; and disposing of it off VA property. The contractor must use permitted waste haulers in Pinellas County, Florida, and provide disposal documentation for each truckload. Services include monthly, quarterly, and semiannual scheduled pumping, plus unscheduled emergency pump-outs across the campus. Scheduled work must generally be completed on the same day between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.; emergency requests require acknowledgment within two hours and on-site arrival within four hours. The quote must include completed pricing schedules, technical information, required representations and certifications, applicable waste-hauling permits and licenses, and supporting information for evaluation. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a base period and four one-year option periods, and technical capability, past performance, and price will be evaluated.
