Description
The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County is soliciting firm-fixed-price bids for the fabrication, palletizing, and delivery of 1,362 small 4BS and 454 long 4BE perforated aluminum panels for passenger shelters. The panels must be fabricated from 5052-H32 aluminum with a mill finish, 1/4-inch holes on 3/8-inch staggered centers at 60 degrees, 1/8-inch bars, 8.15 holes per square inch, and 40% open area. Required dimensions, tolerances, pallet sizes, stacking, banding, and maximum pallet height are specified. The panels must be free of projections, cracks, warpage, irregularities, and surface imperfections, and the contractor must perform preliminary quality-control inspections. A material test report, mill test certificate, or certificate of analysis must be provided upon request. The solicitation requires all items to be bid, including freight, and anticipates one or more firm-fixed-price contracts. Delivery is required within 14–16 weeks, or 112 calendar days, of contract award, with partial shipments permitted upon approval. The bid is awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest aggregate price. Federal transit requirements apply, including Buy America certification and applicable federal certifications.
