Description
The City of Newark is soliciting sealed bids for green infrastructure improvements at New Jersey Regional Day School, Bo Porter Sports Complex, Mildred Helms Park, and Homestead Park. The work generally includes demolition of impervious areas, site clearing, excavation, installation of stormwater management facilities such as rain gardens, porous asphalt, and porous concrete panels, landscaping, and related site improvements. Bids are due at the public bid opening on November 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The solicitation requires bid security equal to 10% of the total bid, capped at $20,000, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The contract includes New Jersey and federal prevailing-wage requirements, disadvantaged-business-enterprise good-faith efforts, a 25% minority business enterprise participation requirement, and an additional 7% women's business enterprise participation requirement.
