Description
The Town of Orange is soliciting bids for removal of trees identified on its revised Fall 2026 Tree List, along with additional tree and limb removal as needed during the year. The scope includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, tools, a large bucket truck with operator, at least one groundman, a chipper truck, a chipper, and crew; chipping brush; hauling chips to designated town property; cutting logs into six-foot lengths and stacking them alongside the road; and cutting stumps within six inches of the ground. Bidders must provide a lump-sum price for the listed tree work and an hourly rate for additional removal work. The bid package requires a completed bid form, project references, a non-collusive affidavit, and current vehicle registrations for all vehicles used. A site visit is mandatory before bidding. Bid and performance bonds are not required. Insurance coverage, including general liability, auto liability, umbrella/excess liability, workers' compensation, employers' liability, and applicable professional liability, is required before contract issuance. Addendum 1, dated September 14, 2026, replaces the original tree list with a revised list of trees and locations.
