Description
The City of Kalamazoo is seeking a contractor to provide liquid chlorine cylinders under a one-year term contract beginning on or about January 1, 2027. Projected quantities are approximately 900 150-pound cylinders and 35 2,000-pound cylinders, delivered as required to the City's Water Division facilities. Quantities are estimates and are not guaranteed. Liquid chlorine must be 99.5% pure, conform to the latest AWWA B301 standard, and meet ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certification requirements for drinking-water treatment chemicals. Cylinders must have valves operable through approved safe procedures. The contractor must provide certified product analysis upon request and documentation of NSF certification. Normal deliveries are expected within two to three days, with emergency deliveries required within 24 hours. The contract may be extended for four additional one-year periods by mutual agreement, with a possible mutually agreed month-to-month continuation of up to six months.
