Description
The City of Kalamazoo is soliciting sealed bids for approximately 150,000 pounds of 25% fluorosilicic acid (H₂SiF₆), supplied in returnable 300-pound drums. The product must conform to the latest ANSI/AWWA Standard B-703 and be certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60. The contractor must provide a certified chemical analysis with each delivery, including fluorosilicic acid concentration, arsenic and lead concentrations, and analysis of organic compounds above 10 parts per billion; nonconforming material must be picked up and replaced at no cost to the City. The contract is for one year beginning on or about January 1, 2027, with four possible one-year extensions by mutual agreement and a possible month-to-month continuation of up to six months. Pricing must remain firm for the initial twelve-month term. The contractor must support at least weekly deliveries, emergency deliveries within 24 hours, delivery quantities of approximately 10 to 60 drums, and a maximum delivery time of 48 hours from order release. The bid is evaluated on aggregate annual cost, delivery capability, and price stability.
