Description
Paw Paw Public Schools is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive snow removal and salting services for all district facilities during the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 winter seasons, with an option to renew for one additional year. The contractor must provide all labor, fuel, materials, commercial-grade equipment, supervision, snow plowing, heavy-equipment removal, rock salt or ice-melt application, snow stacking, site protection, safety measures, and 24/7 emergency response. Plowing must automatically begin at two inches of accumulation, and designated areas must be cleared, salted, and safe before specified school-day deadlines. Sidewalk snow removal and salting will be handled by the District. The contractor must maintain sufficient salt reserves, provide application logs with monthly invoices, repair damage caused by its operations, and submit a dedicated equipment inventory and three commercial references. The bid package includes per-event pricing for district-wide plowing and salting and salt-only applications for each contract year. A bid bond or certified check equal to the bidder’s proposed cost for one full district-wide plowing event is required, along with a sworn, notarized familial-relationship disclosure and an affidavit of compliance with Michigan’s Iran Economic Sanctions Act.
