Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to inspect 18 elevators at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. The scope includes annual and semi-annual inspections, annual safety testing, monitoring of three-year full-load testing for hydraulic elevators, monitoring of five-year full-load testing for traction elevators and residential lifts, rupture-valve testing as required, and documentation of inspection and test results in accordance with applicable ANSI/ASME standards and codes. The contractor must provide all required labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, planning, quality control, and administrative support. Work must be coordinated with the facility and maintenance contractor to minimize disruption, serious or hazardous conditions must be reported immediately, and written deficiency reports must be submitted within 24 hours when applicable. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a one-year base period and four option years, and is set aside for certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
