Description
The Defense Health Agency intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract to Cerez Group Italia S.R.L. for commercial off-the-shelf dry ice supplied on scheduled and unscheduled bases. The contractor must provide dry ice 24 hours a day, seven days a week; routine deliveries must occur within 48 hours of request, and emergency deliveries must occur within seven hours, with the ability to provide up to 1,200 kilograms within eight hours when required. The supplier must have production capacity of at least 200 kilograms per hour and provide boxes no larger than 15 kilograms, crushed as requested. The requirement supports blood-bank and medical mission operations. The contract includes a base year, four option years, and an optional six-month extension, covering September 30, 2026, through March 29, 2032 if all periods are exercised. The estimated total value is $359,453.94. This is a notice of intent to award sole source and is expressly not a request for quotations or proposals; responses must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government without being cost- or time-prohibitive or hindering the mission.
