The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase for 14 replacement ultra-rugged 1D/2D barcode scanners with stands: seven corded bundles and seven cordless scanners with stands. The scanners are required for the CensiTrac Instrument Tracking System used by the Sterile Processing Service. The notice identifies Censis Technologies, Inc. as the intended sole source because the Zebra scanners are programmed exclusively to work with CensiTrac and must be purchased through Censis Technologies. The estimated amount is $28,982.00.
