Description
The City of Kalamazoo is seeking a supplier for 75% phosphoric acid under a one-year term contract beginning on or about January 1, 2027, and expiring on or about December 31, 2027. The City estimates purchasing three truckloads during each contract year, with each truckload containing approximately 45,000 pounds; quantities are not guaranteed and may be higher or lower. The contract includes up to four mutually agreed one-year extensions and a possible mutually agreed month-to-month continuation of up to six months. The successful bidder must provide current material safety data sheets and certification that the proposed product meets the specified standard. Deliveries are to be made by truck to the Water Reclamation Plant during specified weekday hours, with advance shipment notification. The delivery vehicle must be an enclosed truck with rear swing-open doors meeting the stated height requirement. Bidders must submit firm unit pricing, freight charges, delivery lead time, demurrage terms, order-release information, pallet specifications, and packaging details. The bid package must include the completed bid and award pages, requested bidder information, at least three similar-work references from the past five years, and the required product documentation.
