Description
The Orange County Sanitation District is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of portions of the Knott Interceptor, Miller-Holder Trunk, and Artesia Branch sewers. The work includes approximately 3,900 linear feet of 18- to 45-inch sewer rehabilitation, primarily using cured-in-place pipe lining, rehabilitation of 37 manholes, installation of three new 84-inch polymer concrete manholes, rehabilitation of an inverted siphon using HDPE sliplining, and installation and rehabilitation of air jumper piping and junction boxes. The project also includes sewage bypass pumping and flow handling, traffic control, excavation and shoring, pavement restoration, utility coordination, testing, prevailing-wage compliance, and related construction activities. Bidders must hold a California Class A contractor license; C-12, C-31, C-34, and C-57 classifications may be held by the contractor or a subcontractor. The engineer's estimate is $12,460,000, and a bid security of at least 10 percent is required. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract value, are required at contract execution.
