Description
The City of Golden is seeking qualified accounting and advisory firms to provide short-term, hands-on support for validating beginning balances, reconciling 2026 financial activity, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with monthly and year-end financial close and audit preparation. The work may cover funds, departments, accounts, projects, grants, bank and investment accounts, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, utility billing, tax revenues, capital assets, construction in progress, debt, leases, subscription-based information technology arrangements, and interfund balances. The selected firm will also reconcile Tyler ERP Pro 10 financial-system activity with OpenGov imports, reports, account mappings, budgets, and encumbrances; prepare reconciliation workpapers, exception logs, correcting-entry support, close checklists, audit-ready schedules, procedures, training, and transition materials. Proposals will be evaluated on the qualifications and availability of the specific proposed personnel, municipal accounting and financial-close experience, direct Tyler ERP Pro 10 and OpenGov experience, at least three municipal references, project approach, cybersecurity and document-retention practices, knowledge transfer, schedule, and cost. The engagement is expected to last up to 12 months, with the selected firm required to begin promptly and support the City's 2026 close and audit-preparation schedule.
