Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is soliciting bids for comprehensive bathroom demolition, remodeling, and installation services at Owens Valley Conservation Camp. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, transportation, taxes, and fees. The scope includes demolition of interior framing and concrete flooring; installation of footings and slabs, framing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, interior finishes, plumbing, fixtures, seven toilets, nine sinks, shower valves, tile, drywall, paint, insulation, and related supports and controls. The work also includes mold sanitation and abatement, post-abatement mold testing until clearance is achieved, utility disconnection and reconnection, inspections, cleanup, waste disposal, testing and balancing of plumbing systems, and compliance with prevailing-wage, public-works, licensing, registration, camp-access, and safety requirements. The bidder must hold a California B-General Building Contractor license and Department of Industrial Relations public-works registration. A one-year warranty is required. The agreement is estimated to run from September 15, 2026, or later approval, through September 14, 2027, with a possible one-year extension.
