Description
The State of Idaho, through the Division of Public Works, seeks design professional services for renovating approximately 1,560 square feet of existing space for a psychopharmacology research laboratory. The design includes a BSL-2 cell culture suite, a core equipment room with backup power for ultra-low-temperature freezers, and flexible wet-lab space with a chemical fume hood, safety shower, eyewash station, utility lines, and support areas. The selected firm will provide schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting and other required approvals, bidding support, construction administration, and project closeout. The firm must develop and update cost estimates to align the design with the construction budget, provide project schedules and phase deliverables, make at least two presentations to the Permanent Building Fund Advisory Council, and upload project documents to the State’s project management system. The total project budget is $1,014,612, including fees and other project expenses; the estimated construction budget is $800,000. The SOQ must include firm and team qualifications, four relevant completed projects from the past five years, and a technical approach.
