Description
The 126th Air Refueling Wing requires restoration of planter beds across its Scott Air Force Base campus. Work includes removing approximately 1,664 linear feet of deteriorated metal edging and approximately 14,511 square feet of decorative rock and weed barrier; protecting retained plants and root systems; preparing subgrade; installing heavy-duty non-woven geotextile weed barrier; installing new commercial-grade steel bed liners; and replacing or supplementing washed decorative rock to an average depth of three inches. The firm-fixed-price requirement covers 18 identified work areas, including building planter areas, displays, memorial areas, a pavilion, miscellaneous areas, and a wing sign. Quotes must include pricing for CLINs 0001-0018, a technical narrative and proposed schedule, subcontractor information, proposed PWS exceptions, required representations and certifications, and agreement with the solicitation terms. Work is expected to begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed, with the performance period proposed by the contractor and negotiated with the Government. The project is subject to applicable wage requirements, installation access and security procedures, material submittals, and construction documentation requirements.
