Description
Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, doing business as Pittsburgh Water, is soliciting bids for a nine-month requirements contract covering inspection, repair, replacement, and installation of doors, frames, and related hardware at various Pittsburgh Water facilities. The scope includes approximately 30 scheduled openings involving steel and glass doors, fire-rated doors, panic bars, electronic strikes, locks keyed to the Authority’s Primus system, security mesh, and other hardware. Work may include new installations, repairs, upgrades, painting, disposal of replaced materials, and provision of at least three keys for each installed lockset. The contractor must inspect assigned openings, prepare inspection reports and separate proposals for each door, provide itemized labor and material costs, submit product cut sheets, coordinate with Pittsburgh Water and its security contractor, and complete approved work in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer instructions. The contract is a requirements contract with no guaranteed quantity of work. Bidders must submit a 10% bid bond; the successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond after award. Required insurance includes general liability, workers’ compensation, and automobile liability coverage. Pittsburgh Water also requires supplier-diversity participation efforts, a project-specific health and safety plan, and applicable confidentiality, safety, environmental, and security compliance.
