Description
The City and County of San Francisco, through the Adult Probation Department in partnership with the Department of Children, Youth & Their Families and the Department of Public Health, is seeking nonprofit organizations to provide coordinated citywide violence prevention and intervention services for at-risk and high-risk youth, transitional-age youth and adults ages 13 and older. Required services include year-round, 24/7/365 street outreach, conflict mediation, community de-escalation, safe passage, transportation, community engagement, individualized care planning, referrals, data collection, reporting, and coordination with City agencies, public schools, law enforcement, and community partners. Programs must be able to deploy staff within 60 minutes of an incident and include Program Lead/Director, Community Violence Interrupter, and Intensive Life Coach roles. The grant term is January 1, 2027, through June 30, 2029. Up to three grants may be awarded, with total annual funding of up to $3.1 million and an allocation range of $1.5 million to $3.1 million. Applicants must demonstrate at least five years of qualifying experience during 2016–2026 and service experience in at least three San Francisco neighborhoods. The application uses a two-step process: an Intent to Apply followed, for qualified applicants, by a written proposal, one-year budget, and in-person interview. Proposals are evaluated on minimum qualifications, written responses, budget, and interview performance.
