Description
The City seeks a contractor to mow, bale, and remove hay from designated areas across six levees. Work is expected during July through September, with access permitted up to twice per year in assigned areas. The contractor must prepare an access plan for each awarded levee, coordinate access with City staff, and remove equipment and hay bales within the specified timeframes. Bids are evaluated by group, and bidders state the amount they are willing to pay the City for access to the levee sites per year. The awarded contractor must provide labor, equipment, and materials, maintain required insurance—including specialized property-damage coverage for levee and floodway operations—and repair damage caused by its work. The contract term is one year, with two one-year renewal options by mutual agreement. Bidders must have at least two years of experience providing similar services; municipal-government experience is preferable.
