Description
The City of Wichita is soliciting bids for new, unused, current-production vehicles across 13 groups, including compact through heavy-duty pickup trucks, utility and mini-dump trucks, SUVs, sedans, cargo vans, a passenger transit van, and an ADA-accessible minivan. The bid includes detailed minimum specifications and a meets/not-meets response matrix for each group, with optional configurations and equipment. Bidders may offer qualifying vehicles from manufacturers other than the examples listed, subject to City approval where required. Award may be made by group based on the lowest and best base bid or the lowest net bid including options, as determined to be most advantageous to the City. Vehicles are to be delivered to the specified destinations in Wichita. The contract covers purchases of current model-year vehicles until 2027 models are no longer available; quantities are estimates and do not limit the City's purchases. The bid requires completion of the online bid table or the formal bid form for paper submissions, along with the applicable response matrix and required acknowledgments.
