Description
Unified School District No. 261 seeks a vendor to perform cable cleanup and retermination in 42 MDF/IDF closets across 14 buildings. Work includes replacing racks and patch panels as needed; reterminating, labeling, and testing existing Cat5, Cat6, and fiber cabling; replacing applicable wall plates and jacks; reconnecting switches; and providing connection records, test results, and parts documentation. The project also includes specified new 12-strand OS2 single-mode fiber runs and fiber reterminations. The vendor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing, documentation, and disposal, and must price the full required scope for all 14 buildings. Materials must be new and meet the district's specifications. The project is contingent on E-Rate funding and school board approval. Subcontracting requires prior written district approval. The work is expected to be substantially completed during the district's summer break, with scheduling coordinated with district technology staff.
