Description
This Sources Sought/RFI seeks information from potential sources capable of providing sustaining engineering and technical support for the C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program. The anticipated requirement includes annual updates to the corrosion prevention and control plan; corrosion assessments of the C-130 fleet, operating locations, facilities, and maintenance personnel; concept studies and technical analyses; evaluation and testing of coatings, sealants, and other corrosion-related products and processes; corrective-action guidance; and preparation of technical documentation and final reports. Support must address aircraft structural and equipment corrosion, repair and maintenance procedures, technical orders, configuration management, parts obsolescence, fit/form/function issues, inspections, and test and evaluation activities. Respondents are asked to complete the Contractor Capability Survey and provide information about relevant C-130 or comparable aircraft experience, engineering and repair capabilities, quality systems, AS9100 or equivalent implementation, understanding of MIL-STD-1530D, technical-data and drawing production, classified-material handling, facilities and equipment, capacity, and past performance. The Government anticipates a five-year engineering-services strategy consisting of a basic period plus four option years, continuing through fiscal year 2032.
