Description
Santa Clara Valley Water District is soliciting bids for installation of a District-furnished 25 KVA permanent standby generator and 100A automatic transfer switch at the Bailey Avenue Line Valve Vault near Calero Reservoir. The system will provide backup power to existing loads at three connected water-system locations during outages, support remote start by Operations staff, and integrate status and alarm notifications with the District’s SCADA system. The scope includes site verification, product data and shop drawings, permitting, concrete pad work, equipment mounting, conductor terminations, raceways and supports, trenching and utility locating, a locked security fence or enclosure, SCADA components and controls coordination, testing and commissioning, functional verification, site restoration, as-built drawings, and closeout documentation. Bidders must hold a valid California Class B or C-10 contractor’s license, have at least five years of generator installation, testing, and commissioning experience, and maintain California Department of Industrial Relations registration. The project is subject to prevailing-wage, insurance, bonding, and public-works requirements.
