Description
The City of Morgan Hill is soliciting sealed bids for the 2026 Morgan Hill Water Main Replacement Project. Work includes abandoning existing water mains, tees, and valves; installing new 8-inch water mains, valves, 1-inch water services, and a blowoff; installing a new 8-inch water valve; and completing tie-ins, backfill, trench restoration, AC berm restoration, and slurry seal work at the access road to the Oak Canyon Tank, Circle Lane, and East Main Avenue at Laurel Road. The estimated construction cost is $450,000. The project requires a valid California A-General Engineering contractor's license, California Department of Industrial Relations registration for the bidder and subcontractors, prevailing-wage compliance, 10% bid security, and payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Final completion is required within 75 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed; the anticipated January 2027 start date is expressly nonbinding.
