Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide laundry management, onsite laundry services, and pickup and delivery for linen used at the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center. The scope includes laundering, folding, sorting, damage identification, quantity control, weekly collection, and return delivery of comforters, sheets, pillowcases, mattress covers, blankets, and other dormitory linens. The contractor must furnish the required off-site laundry facilities, machines, supplies, chemicals, carts, vehicles, labor, supervision, and communication systems. Services are required Monday through Friday, including designated holidays, with onsite service from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and linen pickup and delivery every Tuesday and Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The contractor must provide an onsite supervisor, employee uniforms and identification badges, background checks and installation-access compliance, quality-control and pickup/delivery control plans, inspection reports, and other contract deliverables. At least five years of personal laundry-services experience is required. Subcontracting is prohibited, and the procurement is reserved for eligible small or disadvantaged businesses.
