Description
The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is offering one load of approximately 40,186 pounds of deformed and demilitarized small-arms cartridge casings, including .50 caliber, 9 mm, 5.56 mm, and 7.62 mm cases with primers. The material is packaged loose in 15 Gaylord boxes, for which the buyer must reimburse the program $18 per box, and the agreement's listed total box charge is $270. The winning bidder must provide a 53-foot van trailer and transportation, pick up the material within 10 working days of award and agreement signing, secure the load, and comply with all applicable laws governing registration, licensing, handling, possession, transportation, transfer, and processing of the scrap. The government will provide a forklift and operator for loading. Payment is based on certified government scale weights, with 80% due at pickup and the balance due within 15 calendar days after pickup unless full payment is required before release.
