Description
The City of Ames is soliciting bids for the purchase, delivery, unloading, placement, and installation of specified HON office furniture for its Resource Recovery and Recycling Campus. The scope includes chairs, tables, desks, work surfaces, storage cabinets, lockers, pedestals, monitor arms, sit-to-stand equipment, a lectern, and related components for multiple campus rooms. HON products are specified and substitutions are generally not allowed, except that proposed alternates may be considered if supported by product literature and approved by the City. The successful vendor must be an authorized dealer and service provider for the proposed systems furniture and have at least five years of experience designing, manufacturing, and servicing HON systems furniture. The vendor must provide delivery and installation coordination, on-site supervision, debris removal, installation scheduling, lead-time information, projected installation dates, warranty information, three relevant customer references, and any required subcontractor or supplier information. Installation is anticipated to occur in April 2027, subject to site readiness and City approval.
