Description
The City of Lynchburg is soliciting bids for the supply and installation of 88 specified furniture items at the Lynchburg Public Library as part of an extensive modernization project. The items include tables, desks, carrels, cabinets, storage units, chairs, stools, lounge seating, ottomans, and related furniture components. Unit prices must include freight, shipping, handling, and installation; the successful bidder must also haul away and dispose of debris and packing materials and provide warranty information for each item. No substitutions are permitted unless an item is no longer in stock or has a lead time exceeding six months. In those circumstances, a substitution request must be received for approval at least two weeks before the bid deadline. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The bid must be submitted on a copy of the Invitation for Bid, with all required documents completed and the Terms and Signature Sheet signed. The bidder must submit one online file if using the online method.
