Description
Texas Southmost College is soliciting a contractor for the exterior painting renovation of the main International Technology, Education and Commerce Center, Automotive Technology building, and Autobody Technology building. The project covers approximately 220,588 square feet of exterior surfaces and 68 exterior metal doors. The work includes field verification, pressure washing and cleaning, surface preparation, minor repairs, sealant replacement, priming, block filling, finish painting, protection of adjacent property, access equipment, daily and final cleanup, and punch-list completion. Approximately 38,325 square feet of split-face CMU requires a complete block-filler coat, followed by finish coats; exterior walls generally require primer as needed and two finish coats, while metal doors require preparation, compatible primer where required, and at least two finish coats. The contractor must provide product data before work begins and include an estimated project duration and warranty information in the proposal.
