Description
South Kingstown School Department seeks a commercial painting contractor to provide interior and exterior painting across district facilities over a two-year term. Work must be coordinated with the academic calendar, with major production scheduled during summer, winter, and spring breaks to avoid disrupting students. The contractor must be able to remove lead paint. Bidders must provide all-inclusive per-square-foot pricing for surface preparation, labor, equipment, and materials across specified categories: classroom and office walls, high-traffic corridors and gyms, ceilings, exterior masonry and brick, and doors and metal trim. The bid form requires unit rates and a total bid price. A bid deposit of at least 5% is required; bids of $30,000 or more must include performance, labor, and materials bonds. Subcontractors require prior department approval.
